I was experimenting with some stuff to make living loacket charms/ floating charms.
Because they are so expensive and I wanted some custom ones I decided to make my own special locket charms, it’s nice and simple and the possibilities are endless
Small Journaling Kit
Putting together a basic kit for when you find yourself with a little bit of time on your hands on your lunch hour, waiting in your car or simply having a few minutes to kill is a great way to fit some art journaling in your day.
This vanilla cake is made by the whisking method, using eggs, sugar and flour with NO FAT AT ALL. It will be wonderfully light and aerated and is best enjoyed on the day it is made. I have layered this cake with a smooth Italian meringue and fresh berry compote. Surprisingly light you can almost feel the halo as you eat it!
MAKES A 20CM (8 INCH) ROUND CAKE
The delicate flavour, colour and texture of these cupcakes marry beautifully to create cakes that I think are perfect for bridal or baby showers. Making mini cupcakes that are packed full of flavour and texture rather than regular size will allow every guest to sample a cake without the calorific content. Freeze dried fruit powders add an intense flavour and sherbet fizz to the buttercream without adding moisture or the need for extra sugar or artificial colours.
Makes 18 regular-sized or 48 mini cupcakes
Ombre wall decor made out of tissue paper.
I just can’t decorate for a holiday without turning to my favorite crafting tool, burlap. I knew I wanted more Easter decor, so I have had this planned out for a while. I wanted a super cute Easter banner just like my Cute Valentine’s Day Banner. I love simple and easy crafts. Burlap and a little paint and pom poms are the way to go. Simple and perfect for a little Easter touch to my entertainment center. Anyone can make this simple and fun banner to put a sure Easter fun in your home. It looks fantastic on my entertainment center, but I know it would look great anywhere in your home you wished to hang it. The best part about this project is it was frugal. I bought a few yards of burlap last year and I continue to make great crafts with it. Burlap is ridiculously cheap ( especially if you have a coupon). I then used a some aqua & white chevron fabric I had left over from another project. Can I say once again, ridiculously cheap and simple craft this is?? I also had the twine and only had to purchase the bright, spring colored paint. So let’s get on to this Frugal Easter Bunny Banner. The best part about this project was I got to Skype with my sister while we did the craft together. We do this every so often. It’s super fun. If you haven’t done this before with family members who live far away. It’s a great time!
Make pretty Japanese Sakura dishwasher safe mugs using porcelain pens. You just draw on the design with the pens and then bake in the oven.
